Will Ellsbury or Fister Reach the World Series?: Majors Post-season Update 10 October 2013
The division series’ have finished, and the number of Mormons in the playoffs is down to two. Jacoby Ellsbury of the Boston Red Sox and Doug Fister of the Detroit Tigers will both play in the American League Championship series, which begins on Saturday, and one of the two players will go on to face the National League champion in the World Series.
Fister’s Tigers defeated the Oakland As last night in the last of the division series games, eliminating Eric Sogard in the process. Sogard didn’t play in the game for the first time in the playoffs.

Atlanta Braves
The Dodgers defeated the Braves 3-1 in the NLDS, eliminating Elliot Johnson from the playoffs.

The Red Sox defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1. They next face the Detroit Tigers starting Saturday, October 12th.
